Hi Animesh! I’ve been an ardent admirer of Sahir’s poetry for about 10 years now! So - thank you for another gem!
However, I could not find any mention of this song you’ve quoted above! Neither on the tape that I have, nor in other Internet sightings. I’d love to hear Rafi’s rendition of this lyric. Any idea if this song was never released or is only available in certain compilations. I called up a music store close by and even they didn’t have this song on the “Barsaat ki raat” CD!

Though you are asking this question to Animesh, though I’d try and help. I have this song as well … but I have the audio-cassette of Barsaat Ki raat, though I do recall hearing this song in a Rafi compilation CD as well, if I get my hands on more concrete information I’ll let you know.

Beyond doubt these are great efforts. I suggest adding Hindi or Urdu version along with roman script. It will make possible to enjoy the rhythm as well, while reading.
